Recent studies of both fit and seal, conducted at Etymotic Research and an independent lab, showed that the smaller of the two sizes fits the majority of ears and is now designated as standard fit. ADJUSTING TO ETYMOTIC EARPLUGS  A little time may be required to acclimate to these earplugs. Many musicians report that they hear their own instruments better, as well as the balance with those around them. Insert the plug by grasping the end cap and inserting the eartip until the largest flange is sealed in the ear canal entrance. To ease insertion, moisten the plug and pull the ear outward and upward. Earplugs must be inserted correctly for optimal effectiveness. To remove, use a slow twisting motion. WHEN TO REPLACE  ER20 Plugs are reusable, but with repeated use, the eartips may lose elasticity. For best performance and retention, if you use your constantly, replace them every 3-6 months.

  • Do not take earplugs apart.
  • Clean after each use.
  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.
  • Do not immerse earplugs in water.
  • Do not clean with harsh chemicals.

Best earplugs I've ever used.

Great Fit & Decibel Reduction

I use these under a motorcycle helmet on race tracks. They fit well and reduce the sound decibel to an acceptable level. Also find the hard plastic stem easy to grab and use to remove them from my ear canal. Highly recommend.

My favorite earplugs for concerts

These are my favorite earplugs; I can’t go to a show without them. I had my previous pair for 10 years until I somehow managed to lose one. My only complaint is they now come in a hard-shell case, and I really prefer the thinner-profile squishy one. But the earplugs themselves have saved my ears at countless concerts over the past 10 years, and I try to keep them in my purse for those occasions when crowds or movies get too loud. And thank goodness, because I’ve been to a couple of movies that would have been unbearably loud without them.

these don't block as much as I'd hoped

these don't block as much as I'd hoped. I guess they would be good for aloud concert, you could still the music, but I wanted them to block annoying sounds in my house like a loud TV or computer, but they don't block much of that
