Etymotic Research is the sole manufacturer of ER-9, 15 and 25 attenuator buttons. All earmold laboratories listed must adhere to rigorous standards in the manufacture of Musicians Earplugs. Earmold labs are required to use an acoustic mass meter to verify that earmolds made for Musicians Earplugs have the correct volume of air in the sound bore to produce flat attenuation. To ensure uniformity, Etymotic Research regularly monitors and re-certifies these labs.
