Which ER-4 is Right for You?

GSP•1 Electronic Earplugs are for those who want to hear naturally and be protected from sudden firearm blasts when there isn't time to insert earplugs. Improves distance detection up to 5X.

GunSport•PRO electronic earplugs are designed for gun sport enthusiasts in the field or at the range where enhanced awareness, clear communication and blast protection are desired.

GSP•1 electronic earplugs allow you to hear naturally as though nothing is in the ears, but protects from blasts. At the flip of a switch sound is amplified, improving distance detection up to five times for enhanced awareness.

ACCU•Technology: GSP•1 electronic earplugs use Etymotic's ACCU•Technology with high-definition balanced-armature drivers, high-sensitivity microphones and proprietary wide-dynamic-range compression K•AMP® signal processing.

Dual-Mode Switch

LO position
  • Natural hearing until blast occurs
  • Maximum protection from blasts

HI position

  • Amplifies soft sounds and conversational speech
  • Maximum protection from blasts

Removal

Remove the device with a slow twisting motion. Open jaw slightly to equalize pressure, because suction can occur when the eartip is removed.

Care

  • Do not expose to extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping and strong impact.
  • Leave eartip on the earplug for shock protection.
  • Clean or replace eartips prior to use by others.

Cleaning and Replacing Eartips

Over time eartips may lose their elasticity. For best performance and retention, replace 3-flange eartips every 3-6 months. Replace foam and glider eartips regularly.

To clean the 3-flange eartips:

  • Remove the eartip from the earplug.
  • Clean with water and mild soap.
  • Dry the eartip before placing it back on the earplug.

Changing the Filter

The earpiece in the HD•15 earplugs have a special filter that smoothes the frequency response and prevents earwax from entering the earphone. The filter is located at the end of the earplug and is visible when the eartip is removed. Change the filter if loudness decreases or the sound quality declines.

Note: Filters are not reusable.

Removal

Note: Use the tool to remove the filter.
1. Remove eartip. 2. Insert tool into the filter. 3. Remove filter and discard.

Replacement

Note: Do not use the tool to replace the filter.
4. Insert a new filter and 5. press gently against a hard
surface to secure it in place.
6. Re-attach eartip.
